Lighting the Fires of Revival In South Africa
June 15, 2009
Dear Friends and Partners
I write this blog from the land that gave me birth South Africa - We just finished up and had an awesome time in Durban in the Natal Province in the Kingdom of the Zulu Nation - with one of the great Pastoral couples in the World - Pastor's Fred and Nellie Roberts – They were Celebrating 30 years of Durban Christian Center and 54 years of ministry.
I had had the privilege of holding a revival in their church in the early 90/91/92 that shook the whole Natal Coast region – over 100 000 people were touched in 3 months. And then made trips back every year.
The Fire of God Fell - the altar was packed - We were able to mobilize thousands for the Harvest - what a wonderful time.
Pastor Nellie's grandmother was saved under Smith Wigglesworth Ministry in South Africa in the early 1900's.
Pastor Nellie's told me that her Father had been led to the Lord, under my Uncle, Dr FLK Howard-Browne. Pastor Nellie told me that my uncle would go to her Dad’s work every day for 1 year at 5 pm to pick him up so that he would not want to go to a bar because he was an alcoholic – her dad was saved under my Uncle’s ministry – My Uncle later became moderator of the Full Gospel Church of God of Southern Africa - He founded Berea Theological College which is the Bible School of the Full Gospel Church - He also built one of the largest churches in the nation coming right out of the great depression in South Africa. My Uncle told me of many miracles that took place of God's provision and direction.
Pastor Nellie was saved at the age of 4 in 1937 under my Uncle’s Ministry who built a church during the depression days in South Africa - we spend hours talking about the move of the Holy Spirit in the 40's and 50's in South Africa and many of those who pioneered the Pentecostal move in South Africa in the 40’s and 50’s – Wow what an amazing time – we talked about all night prayer meetings and soul winning and the commitment of the saints. It was a coming back to my roots and foundation in the Gospel here – they wanted us to stay a week and I told them I felt the Lord leading me to go on. Well we left Durban this morning and two new meetings have been added to the trip
Thursday night in Charis Christian Church in Wonderboom – Pretoria.
Friday Night in Cape Town at Good Hope Christian Center.
Saturday Night and Sunday am in Somerset West and then Sunday Night we start in East London – we are believing God for a mighty harvest of souls in this Land
Pray for us – for protection and provision not only in Africa but also for our teams in the USA as well as we are about to cross over the million mark in decisions in the USA alone since Feb 2007.
We love you and are praying for you - may God multiply you exceedingly and raise you up for the harvest to fund it and bring it in.
All our Love to you from the Continent of Africa.
PS Smith Wigglesworth Said - "There are four principles we need to maintain: First, read the Word of God. Second, consume the Word of God until it consumes you. Third believe the Word of God. Fourth, act on the Word."
