Our Response to the fact that the Harvest that is Ripe
Jesus speaking to his disciples said to them in John 4 that the fields are white unto harvest and told them not to say that the harvest is in the future - 4 months - He said that the Harvest is Ripe today. We as the body of Christ has to realize our responsibility towards the harvest -
Things we need to do.
1. We are to pray
He said that we are to pray for laborers - now if we pray for laborers we find ourselves asking who will go and then we find ourselves saying here am I Lord send me. The only thing that will motivate us is our passion for Jesus - we Love Him so very much - we cannot be quiet about him we have to shout it from the roof tops until the whole world knows how wonderful and how awesome He is. The message we bring is one of good news. We cannot bring this good news sad we can only bring this good news glad. This passion can only come from the fire of the Holy Spirit. This is why Jesus told the disciples to go and tarry at Jerusalem until you be endured with power from on high - in Acts 1: 8 Ye shall receive power after that the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you shall be witnesses unto me in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
2.We need to be empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Then after we pray and get the fire then we begin to tell others about Jesus and we realize that we have to do everything in our power to bring in this harvest this means that we need to use our time our talents and our treasure for this harvest. To give Jesus our all. To give Him our resources - He said don't lay up treasure on the Earth where moth and rust doth corrupt and where thieves break through and steal - where your treasure is that's where your heart will be also.
3. We need to Sow.
Get involved not only by praying and telling but by giving - the sowing of our money into the harvest. I write this little blog on this Wednesday the 15th April letting you know that we need your help the financial area for the Harvest - right now I am in Tulsa Oklahoma lighting fires and Eric and Jennifer Gonyon are in Redlands Ca bringing in the Harvest - over 5000 decisions already - the meeting starts there Friday night. We cannot do this without the help of God's people - if you are reading this please prayerfully consider sowing a generous seed into the harvest - we need your help and support today. Let me pray with you right now - Father I thank you for my Friends and Partners that you would bless them financially - so that they will have more than enough and that you can raise them up to be end time financiers of the good news - the Gospel - bless them beyond measure in the precious name of your son Jesus Amen!
