The Joy of the Lord is our strength… Life is not always kind to us. We all face pressure, difficulties, and sometimes, outright tragedy. There may not be anything we can do to change those things that come from outside, threatening to overwhelm us. However, we can do something about what comes from the inside of us, giving us the strength and power to cope and to overcome despite our circumstances. Nothing can crush the life out of you if it cannot crush your spirit. All the strength you need, all the grace you need, to make it through, is on the inside of you when you are filled with the joy of the Lord.
In this 3 CD series, Drs. Rodney and Adonica Howard-Browne share with us that even in the midst of trouble—we can just laugh at the problems in our life—knowing that God has everything under control. He loves us and He cares about us. He gives us a reason to rejoice. Joy is a fruit of the Spirit. It’s inside of us. If we are filled with the Spirit, we are filled with joy. Therefore we can have joy in the midst of the worst conditions of life. When we live in joy, depression has to leave, anger and bitterness have to leave, and unforgiveness has to go. The joy of the Lord is our strength and stronghold and we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us!
