This morning, The River at Tampa Bay Church welcomed Joe Manno, co-founder of Reaching the Children Entertainment, Inc. Manno shared part of the vision for The River to effectively reach the youngsters of the Tampa Bay area with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He referred to Proverbs 22:6: Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it, declaring that a child who is trained in the Word of God and who experiences the presence of the Holy Spirit will have what it takes to overcome in times of adversity. Pastor Rodney announced that the Great Awakening Tampa will kick off on January 2, 2010 with an emphasis on children’s ministry.
