Power Evangelism – Soul Winning

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. 9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. Acts 1:8-9 KJV
It is evident that the purpose of Pentecostal power is to be a witness.
Many want the power for selfish reasons instead of for the right reasons.
We are to be witnesses in the city, town, or village in which we live.
Jesus’ last words, before leaving earth, instruct us to receive power and then to tell others about Him.
Based upon Acts 1:8, we refer to this as Power Evangelism. The preaching of the Gospel will result in the power of God being manifested and souls will be saved. Do you still want the power?
And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power. 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2:4-5 KJV
The Apostle Paul, on the road to Damascus, had an encounter with God. He was an educated man and wrote nearly two-thirds of the New Testament. Paul emphasizes the importance of the demonstration of the Holy Spirit and the power of God. When you preach the Gospel of Christ, Jesus will show up and the power of God will be present.
The Gospel is to be demonstrated. We don’t preach to heads, but to hearts. Soul Winning is not a program; it’s a passion. Soul Winning is not an event; it’s a lifestyle. Souls are the currency of eternity.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 KJV
Fear is a spirit; do not yield to it.
F.E.A.R. = False Evidence Appearing Real.
Perfect love casts out fear. The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost.
Everyone say, “No fear lives here.” You are anointed, appointed, and equipped to preach the Gospel. Do not say that it’s not your personality. God used Naaman, the leper. The Bible states that he was a great man with his master.
God can and wants to use you.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16 KJV
If you are not ashamed, you will tell others. The Gospel of Christ = the power of God.
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? Romans 2:4 KJV
It is not your job to convict people of their sins. The Holy Ghost convicts.
We must tell others how good God is. He loves them and He will take them just as they are. God loves them so much that He will not leave them the same. We are to be changed from glory to glory.
Jesus’ example for us:
Samaritan woman, at the well – five husbands.
Woman caught in adultery.
Jesus eating at Zacchaeus’ house.
If you lead a millionaire to the Lord and a prostitute, they both could be put on the front row. Who’s your neighbor? Don’t judge.

There is no such thing as a lost cause. God does not have favorites. He wants all to come to the saving knowledge of Christ. Will you tell them?
God is not looking for perfect vessels. He is looking for willing vessels.
And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. Matthew 4:19 KJV
If you are a follower of Jesus, examine your “fishing business.”
Example: the man bound with a legion of devils and they got cast into the pigs.
Religion is argumentative and judgmental. It sticks its nose up at others. You must catch a fish before you can clean it. All deserve to hear the Gospel preached.
Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Psalm 2:8 KJV

This is a tool that the Lord gave this ministry to help train others in Power Evangelism. This tool helps you keep the main thing, the main thing and not get side tracked or argue. Just read it. Remember, the power is in the proclamation of the Gospel.
Read the Gospel Soul Winning Script to others. Expect them to receive.
The scriptures that are used in the Gospel Soul Winning Scripture Card are: Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, and Acts 2:21.
Prodigals / Recommitments: How do you respond when they say that they are already born-again or saved? (On a scale 1 to 5, 5 being red hot on fire for God and winning souls, where would you say that your walk with the Lord is today—a 5, 4, 3?) If they say anything other than a 5, tell them that today is the perfect day to recommit their lives to the Lord.
When individuals commit or recommit their lives to the Lord, obtain their follow-up information by offering to keep them on your prayer list.
Always share Christ first and then your church. Give them your church invite card. We are to advance the Kingdom of God.
Offer to drive them to church or Bible study HOJ. Use wisdom. Ladies carpool other ladies, etc.
Ask if they have any prayer requests or if anyone else is home that you could pray for.
Luke 10:2 KJV
When you pray to the Lord of the harvest, ask Him to reveal to you that you are the labourer.
When you have a new convert, teach them to be a labourer.
