A. Six Ways to Administer God’s Healing Power.

a. God has instituted in and through His Word, methods of administering His healing power.

1. Pray for Yourself.

a. James 5:13a KJV – “Is any among you afflicted? let him pray.”

b. Hebrews 4:16 KJV – “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

c. Come to God boldly and in faith concerning His promises.

d. Matthew 9:29 KJV – “Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.”

e. Mark 5:34 KJV – “And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.”

f. Hebrews 11:1 KJV – “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

2. Ask Someone Else to Pray for You.

a. James 5:16a KJV – “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.”

b. Matthew 18:19 KJV – “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.”

3. Call for the Elders of the Church.

a. James 5:14-16 KJV – “Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

4. By the Laying On of Hands.

a. Mark 16:17-18 KJV – “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; theyshall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

b. Mark 5:23 KJV – “And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.”

c. Luke 13:13 KJV – “And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.”

b. Some seek healing for wrong purposes.

c. Some look to the minister rather than to Christ.

d. Acts 3:12 KJV – “And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?”

f. Disobedience.

g. Matthew 9:5-6 KJV – “For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk? 6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,)     Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.”

h. Because of unconfessed sin (James 5:16).

i. Because of fear.

j. Mark 4:40 KJV – “And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?”

k. Because of unbelief.
