Have Faith in God

Foundation Scripture:
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. Mark 11:22 KJV
1. Have Faith in God.
a. Faith is the foundation of the Christian life.
b. Faith is not optional, it is essential.
c. Jesus did not say try to have faith; He said, “Have faith in God.”
d. Everything God does and everything we receive from Him comes by faith.
e. From salvation to healing, from provision to victory—faith is the key that unlocks the door to all of God’s promises.
f. Faith is the only way to please God.
g. Hebrews 11:6 KJV ––- But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
h. Faith is God’s language and the currency of Heaven.
i. It’s how we connect with His heart and power.
j. Good works are wonderful, but faith is what gives them life.
k. Faith transforms obedience into worship and trust into victory.
2. Living by Faith.
a. Romans 1:17 KJV –– The just shall live by faith.
b. Galatians 3:11 AMPC ––- The man in right standing with God [the just, the righteous] shall live by and out of faith.
c. Faith is not a formula—it’s a lifestyle.
d. The righteous person doesn’t just use faith in emergencies; faith governs every decision, every prayer, every expectation.
e. We live, move, and have our being in faith toward God.
3. Everything God Offers Is Accessible Only Through Faith.
a. Romans 5:2 KJV –– By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand.
b. Grace is God’s supply; faith is the hand that receives it.
c. Faith is the access point—the divine password—into every blessing in Christ.
d. Ephesians 2:8 KJV –– For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.
4. Salvation Comes by Faith.
a. Romans 10:9 –10 KJV –– That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
b. Salvation is not earned; it’s received through faith.
c. The entrance into God’s family begins with believing His Word and trusting His Son.
5. By Faith, You Obey God in Water Baptism.
a. Acts 2:41 KJV –– Then they that gladly received his word were baptized.
b. Obedience flows from faith.
c. When you believe the message of the Gospel, your faith moves you to act—just as those who heard Peter’s message did.
d. Faith without action is dead (James 2:17).
e. True faith always responds to God’s instruction.
6. By Faith, You Receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
a. Galatians 3:14 KJV –– That we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
b. The Holy Spirit, and speaking in tongues, is God’s gift to His children, received not through striving but believing.
7. By Faith, You Believe and Obey God’s Commands.
a. Hebrews 11:8 KJV –– By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out… obeyed.
b. Obedience is the visible expression of invisible faith.
c. Abraham didn’t have all the answers—he simply trusted the One who called him.
d. Faith doesn’t need all the details; it needs confidence in the One who speaks.
8. By Faith, You Receive Healing.
a. Mark 5:34 KJV –– And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
b. Faith is active, not passive; and connects us to the healing power of God.
c. The woman with the issue of blood didn’t wait for Jesus to notice her; she reached out in faith and touched Him.
9. By Faith, You Receive Provision.
a. Philippians 4:19 KJV –– But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
b. Faith believes God’s supply is greater than the world’s shortage.
c. Faith sees a table prepared in the presence of enemies (Psalm 23:5).
d. Faith declares, “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.”
10. By Faith, You Receive Protection.
a. Psalm 91:2 KJV –– I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
b. Faith speaks—it declares protection before danger appears.
c. Faith builds a wall that no enemy can breach.
d. Ephesians 6:16 KJV –– Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
11. By Faith, You Overcome in Life.
a. 1 John 5:4 KJV –– For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
b. Faith doesn’t deny the battle—it declares the victory.
c. Through faith, we overcome temptation, trials, and fear.
d. Faith lifts us above circumstances and plants us firmly on the promises of God.
12. Able and Willing.
a. Faith is not just believing that God can—it is believing that He will, and that He has already made a way.
b. When Jesus said, “Have faith in God,” He was saying, “Anchor your confidence in Me.”
c. Mark 11:23–24 KJV –– For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed… and shall not doubt in his heart… he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
d. Faith sees it before it happens, speaks it before it manifests, and rejoices before it arrives.
e. Let your heart be established in faith—because everything God has for you is received by faith, and by faith alone.
