Foundation Scriptures:
The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, 2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: 3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. 4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. 5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. Acts 1:1-5 KJV

1. Many Infallible Proofs.
a. Forty days of infallible proofs.
b. That He was alive—resurrected from the dead.
c. Jesus tells them to go and tarry (wait) until they have received, and are filled, with the power of God—with the infallible proof—so they can be “proof producers.”
d. Acts 1:8 KJV — But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
e. Receive power—to be a witness.
f. Power—so you can be proof-producers of the fact that Jesus is alive.

2. Empowerment.
a. Acts 2:1-4 KJV — And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
b. The Upper Room—the place of empowerment.
c. Acts 2:13-16 KJV — Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine. 14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: 15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. 16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel.
d. Full of new wine.
e. These are not drunk as you suppose.
f. This is that.

3. The Results of the Infallible Proof.
a. Souls saved—3000, then 5000.
b. Acts 2:41 KJV — Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
c. Acts 4:4 KJV — Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.
d. Demonstration of the infallible proofs.
e. Acts 3:1-11
f. Man, who was born lame, healed.
g. Acts 4:33 KJV — And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

4. Proof on Display: Miracles, Signs and Wonders.
a. Ananias and Sapphira.
b. Acts 5:1-11 KJV — But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, 2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet. 3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? 4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. 5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things. 6 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him. 7 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in. 8 And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much. 9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out. 10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband. 11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.
c. Power emanating from Peter.
d. Acts 5:15-16 KJV — Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. 16 There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.
e. God always confirms His Word with signs and wonders.
f. It’s time to demonstrate the proof more than ever.
