Sacrifice and Reward

Foundation Scriptures:
And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, 30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. Mark 10:29-30 KJV
1. Walking Out the Call.
a. Every reward in the Kingdom is connected to sacrifice.
b. Salvation is free.
c. The call is free.
d. The anointing is free.
e. But walking out the call requires sacrifice.
2. The Principle of Sacrifice.
a. Sacrifice always precedes promotion.
b. Abraham sacrificed Isaac before receiving the covenant blessing.
c. David sacrificed comfort before receiving the throne.
d. Jesus sacrificed His life before receiving the Name above every name.
e. God rewards surrender.
f. The greater the call, the greater the surrender required.
g. Revival always costs something.
h. People see the harvest but often do not see what is behind it:
- the prayer
- the fasting
- the tears
- the persecution
- the obedience
3. The Cost of the Call.
a. Luke 9:23 KJV –– If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
b. The call is free but walking it out costs everything.
c. The call demands consecration.
d. Comfort and calling rarely travel together.
e. Approval cannot be the goal—obedience must be.
4. The Sacrifice of Obedience.
a. The greatest sacrifice is not money.
b. The greatest sacrifice is obedience.
c. Doing what God says.
d. Going where God sends.
e. Staying when He says stay.
f. Leaving when He says leave.
g. Paying your vows before the Lord.
5. The Sacrifice of Giving.
a. Giving breaks the power of earthly attachment.
b. Giving proves where your treasure is.
c. Giving demonstrates trust in God.
d. Giving is worship.
e. Giving carries eternal reward.
f. Believers should ask: “What am I holding on to that’s robbing me of present joy and future reward?”
6. The Sacrifice of Revival.
a. Revival costs time.
b. Revival costs comfort.
c. Revival costs reputation.
d. Revival costs convenience.
e. Revival costs everything but is worth it.
f. The cost of revival is worth the harvest.
7. The Reward of Souls.
a. No earthly reward compares to one soul saved.
b. Eternity is the greatest reward.
c. Every sacrifice is measured against eternity.
d. Heaven keeps records.
e. Souls are forever.
f. No cost compares to one soul saved.
g. No sacrifice exceeds Heaven’s reward.
8. The Reward of Faithfulness.
a. 1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV –– Your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
b. God sees every act of obedience.
c. God sees every seed sown.
d. God sees every prayer prayed.
e. God sees every sacrifice made.
f. God rewards faithfulness.
9. Temporary Sacrifice—Eternal Reward.
a. Earthly sacrifice is temporary.
b. Eternal reward is forever.
c. What is given up for God is never truly lost.
d. Nobody who obeys God comes out behind.
e. God is nobody’s debtor.
10. Tears Become Harvest.
a. Psalm 126:5 KJV –– They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
b. Tears are seed.
c. Prayer is seed.
d. Labor is seed.
e. Giving is seed.
f. Revival is harvest.
11. The Final Reward.
a. 2 Corinthians 5:10 KJV –– For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ.
b. Crowns.
c. Rewards.
d. Souls.
e. Eternal inheritance.
f. “Well done, thou good and faithful servant… enter thou into the joy of thy lord” (Matthew 25:21; 23).
g. The greatest reward is not money, position, influence, or recognition—but standing before Jesus having fulfilled the assignment He gave you.
12. Remember:
a. Sacrifice is the seed.
b. Obedience is the pathway.
c. Souls are the harvest.
d. Eternity is the reward.
e. Whatever is laid down for the Kingdom is never lost.
f. God records every prayer, every tear, every act of obedience, every offering, every surrender, and every soul won—and He rewards both in this life and in eternity.
