John 15:2 says, "Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit."

Complete with gardening gloves and pruning shears, Pastor Rodney trimmed a tree on the platform to illustrate how God removes the unproductive branches in our lives. These branches could include a negative heart, pride, unforgiveness, unhealthy relationships or time-wasting activities that can hinder our fruit production. While the pruning process may feel painful at times, God prunes us for our own good, so that we can bring forth excellent fruit and have much to show for our lives in eternity.
