Foundation Scriptures:

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord: and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. Psalm 33:12 KJV

And the Lord said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; 21 I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know. 22 And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the Lord. 23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked? 24 Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein? 25 That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? 26 And the Lord said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes. 27 And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am but dust and ashes: 28 Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it. 29 And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty’s sake. 30 And he said unto him, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there. 31 And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty’s sake. 32 And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten’s sake. 33 And the Lord went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place. Genesis 18:20-33 KJV

1. Standing in the Gap on Behalf of a Nation.
a. Ezekiel 22:30-31 KJV – “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. 31 Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God.”
b. There are many prophets of doom, calling for the destruction of America.
c. However, that is not what we heard.
d. We heard: stand, and pray, and fight, and issue a restraining order against the enemy.

2. Pray and Do.
a. Pray like it all depends on God.
b. Go and do, like it all depends on you.
c. This is why we are back in Washington, D.C. this week.

f. We preach the Gospel, because the only hope for America is another Great Awakening.

3. God has Heard Our Cry.
a. There is no doubt in my mind that God has heard our cries.
b. He has given America a last-minute reprieve – a stay of execution.
c. How much time do we have left?
d. One more hour of daylight.
e. Joshua spoke and the sun and the moon stood still.

h. 2 Peter 3:8 KJV – “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”
i. One more hour would be approximately 40 years.

4. The Only Hope for America.
a. The only hope for America is not government.
b. The only hope for America is Jesus Christ.

5. Preach the Gospel with Power.
a. Luke 4:14-19
b. Mark 16:15-20 KJV – “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 20 And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”
