“We do hereby dedicate this Land, and ourselves, to reach the people within these shores with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to raise up godly generations after us, and with these generations take the Kingdom of God to all the earth. May this Covenant of Dedication remain to all generations, as long as this earth remains, and may this land, along with England, be evangelists to the world. May all who see this Cross, remember what we have done here, and may those who come here to inhabit join us in this Covenant and in this most noble work that the Holy Scriptures may be fulfilled.”
~ Pastor Robert Hunt, Chaplain of Jamestown, April 29, 1607
3. Modern Re-Dedication of America.
a. National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise, and Thanksgiving, Sunday, May 17, 2026.
b. This declaration serves as a contemporary renewal of the 1607 Cape Henry Covenant, spoken in the spirit of Rev. Robert Hunt and the First Landing settlers.
A Declaration of Covenant Renewal
We, the people of these United States of America, standing in the tradition of our forebears who first set foot on these shores at Cape Henry on April 26, 1607, and who on April 29 planted a cross and dedicated this land to God—do hereby renew and re-dedicate this Nation, our homes, our families, and ourselves, to the glory of Almighty God and the advancement of His Kingdom.
We dedicate this Land and ourselves anew to reach every person within these borders, and beyond, with the life-transforming Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We commit to raising up godly generations after us: children and youth who know the Lord, walk in wisdom and truth, and live with integrity in every sphere of society.
With these generations, we purpose once more to carry the light of the Kingdom of God to every nation, tribe, and tongue—that the earth may be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
May this renewed Covenant of Dedication stand firm for all generations, as long as this earth remains.
May the United States of America, in humble dependence upon God, be a beacon of liberty, justice, and righteousness to the world.
May every heart that sees the crosses and monuments of our history remember what was done here and may all who dwell in this land join us in this sacred covenant—that the Holy Scriptures may be fulfilled in our time.
We repent of every way we have turned from You, O Lord.
We ask for Your mercy, Your healing, and Your fresh outpouring of Your Spirit upon this land.
We declare America to be One Nation Under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all—not by our own strength, but by Your grace and for Your glory.
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit—the God who planted this nation and who alone can restore and revive it.
Amen.
