Foundation Scriptures:

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Mark 16:17-18 KJV

1. Signs Follow the Evangelist.

a. Signs do not create the message.

b. They confirm it.

c. The evangelist does not chase signs; signs chase the evangelist.

d. When the Gospel is preached in faith and power, Heaven responds with visible evidence.

e. Mark 16:17a KJV –– And these signs shall follow them that believe…

f. God never intended the Gospel to be preached without demonstration.

g. Words declare truth; signs prove it.

2. Signs Are God’s Endorsement.

a. Miracles are not human performance — they are divine confirmation.

b. Mark 16:20 KJV –– And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following.

c. The evangelist speaks; God confirms.

d. Signs testify that:

- Jesus is alive

- The message is true

- The Kingdom has arrived

e. When God confirms His Word, no argument remains.

3. Faith Is Released Corporately.

a. Signs often flow in evangelistic settings because faith rises collectively.

b. Acts 3:8-10 KJV –– And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. 9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God: 10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

c. Faith is contagious.

d. One miracle ignites expectation; expectation invites more miracles.

e. This is why evangelistic meetings often experience rapid and visible breakthroughs.

4. Healing Is a Harvest Tool.

a. Healing is not entertainment—it is compassion in action.

b. Matthew 4:23 KJV –– And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

c. Healing:

- Reveals God’s goodness

- Destroys fear

- Opens hearts

- Draws sinners

d. The evangelist understands that healing clears obstacles that prevent people from receiving salvation.

5. Deliverance Accompanies Evangelism.

a. Where light shines, darkness reacts.

b. Acts 8:7 KJV –– For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them…

c. Deliverance is not chaos—it is power revealed and victory enforced.

d. Evangelistic anointing confronts bondage, and freedom manifests openly.

e. Demons do not fear quiet religion.

f. They flee Spirit-filled proclamation.

6. Why Signs Are Resisted.

a. Signs challenge unbelief and offend pride.

b. 1 Corinthians 1:22-24 KJV –– For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

c. Religion prefers explanation over demonstration.

d. But the evangelist welcomes what God does—even when it disrupts expectation.

e. God’s power does not need permission.

7. Signs Follow Believers, Not Titles.

a. Signs are not reserved for famous ministers; they follow believers.

b. Mark 16:17 KJV –– And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.

c. The evangelist multiplies this truth.

d. He teaches believers to expect God to work through them.

e. Revival spreads when power moves beyond the platform.

8. Order and Power Are Not Enemies.

a. Power does not equal confusion.

b. 1 Corinthians 14:33 KJV –– For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace…

c. The evangelist allows God to move but never abandons spiritual authority.

d. Holy Ghost manifestations flow best where leadership is clear and faith is high.

9. Signs Point to Salvation, Not the Minister.

a. True evangelists never draw attention to themselves.

b. 2 Corinthians 4:5 KJV –– For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord…

c. Signs are not trophies.

d. They are arrows pointing to Christ.

e. When signs exalt the minister, something is wrong.

f. When they exalt Jesus, Heaven smiles.

10. Signs Prepare Cities for Repentance.

a. Miracles break resistance.

b. Matthew 11:20-21 KJV –– Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not: 21 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

c. Signs increase accountability.

d. Once God moves publicly, response is required.

e. The evangelist understands this weight and calls people to decision.
