Update: Cape Town Recap

Dear Friends and Partners,
Adonica and I have just returned from South Africa, our hearts filled with great joy.
In obedience to the Lord, we went to Cape Town for a crusade – a city of four million people – in the midst of a major drought and about to run out of water. Initially, we did not have a venue and it looked impossible; however, we were able to secure a field in the shadow of Table Mountain and in just thirty days we were able to pull it together. The crusade was called Fire in The Cape/Cape Town Ablaze. It was epic!
The meeting was held in the middle of summer, from the 14th through the 25th of February 2018. February is usually the hottest month of the summer there, but the evenings were unusually cold. Even so, tens of thousands of people attended over the twelve nights. Even though the Cape mostly has a winter rainfall, my plan was to call the rain in and preach in the rain. I was looking forward to it. It rained the day before the crusade and also during one of the night services while I was preaching. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
On the final night, 7,200 filled the field and 1,500 responded to the altar call. The sight on the last night, as the people joyfully worshipped and praised the Lord, brought me to tears. I had to leave the platform to try to compose myself, because I was weeping with compassion for my precious brothers and sisters. It was a powerful night.
We bought 125,000 bottles of water for the people, which we handed out every night to those who came to the field. A total of 48,800 people attended over twelve nights, with 5,232 total decisions for Christ. Many were touched by the fire of God, not just on the field but millions every night on the Faith Broadcasting Network across Africa and the United Kingdom.

Adonica and I will return to South Africa, on the Easter weekend, to preach with Bishop N.D. and Vangile Nhlapo at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. He has one hundred churches in Southern Africa and they were a major support to the Cape Town meetings. They are expecting over 65 thousand people to attend the Easter meetings.
